Cure for Premature Ejaculation: What Makes a Good Cure?

This article discusses cures for premature ejaculation. However, before we get into specific cures, it’s helpful to provide a bit of context around the issue.

What exactly is premature ejaculation?

There are various definitions, including:

  • When a man is unable to last more than 2 minutes
  • When a man is not able to satisfy his partner (due to limited sex duration) more than 50% of the time
  • When the inability to last causes distress to one or both partners

Most experts prefer to use this last definition.

How common is premature ejaculation?

Estimates vary, but premature ejaculation is known to affect at least a quarter of all men, with other surveys suggesting the number may be close to half.

But, on the other hand, some surveys indicate that three-quarters of all men would like to last longer in bed.  While a significant portion of these men may not technically have premature ejaculation, it’s clear that the interest in lasting longer in bed is quite common.

What solutions are available for treating premature ejaculation?

There are various solutions available, including:

  • Desensitization sprays and creams and specialty condoms
  • Drugs, including supplements and prescription pharmaceuticals (some types of antidepressants have shown to have the side effect of improving sexual endurance)
  • “Distracting” oneself from the pleasure of sex in order to last longer
  • Training and conditioning exercises, including breathing and relaxation techniques, Kegel exercises, etc.

Clearly when it comes to solving premature ejaculation, a man has many options at his disposal.

However, I wouldn’t necessarily refer to all of these solutions as “cures.”

What counts a true “cure” for premature ejaculation?

My definition of a good “cure” is a solution that provides permanent relief while also NOT negatively altering the sexual experience.

For example, desensitization products do help men last longer, but they only work as long as you continue to use them, and the very reason that they work is because they remove the pleasure of sex.  Similarly, drugs and supplements may or may not work for different individuals, but they only provide the benefits for as long as you continue to take them (and pay the expensive costs of the treatments). Finally, “distracting” yourself from sex has become a popular solution to lasting longer; however, I don’t recommend that tactic because it robs you of the pleasure from sex, which should be one of the most enjoyable experiences of your life.

The best solution – and only true cure, in my book – is to follow a natural, healthy training regimen that focuses on improving your body’s ability to withstand stimulation without ejaculating.  With such natural training, the vast majority of men are able to cure premature ejaculation.

The Ejaculation Trainer: A Review

The Ejaculation Trainer is an ebook that teaches you how to last longer in bed.  This blog post is my first review of The Ejaculation Trainer, or any other premature ejaculation product, for that matter.

Here are the basics:

Author: Matt Gorden (who recently changed his name from Matt Wutzke)

Topic: How to Last Longer in Bed, How to Cure Premature Ejaculation

Product Details: 147 pages, book delivered in electronic format (download to your computer)

Summary of Contents:

  1. What is premature ejaculation
  2. Controlling your arousal
  3. Mental techniques for controlling premature ejaculation
  4. Breathing techniques
  5. The importance of the perineal muscles

  8. Lowering her threshold (this is my favorite chapter)
  9. Multiple orgasms (did you know men could do this??)
  10. Quick solutions & tips (helpful “emergency” tactics)

OK, here’s my review of The Ejaculation Trainer, focusing on what I consider to be the three most important criteria for evaluating a product:  1) Customer Experience, 2) Effectiveness, and 3) Value.

1) Customer Experience: A-

Cosmetics: In terms of cosmetics, Matt’s book is not the prettiest ebook in the world.  But you know what, who cares?  I certainly didn’t. I don’t buy something like this for how fancy it looks, I buy it for the helpful information.  And Matt’s book provided a ton of helpful information (more on that later).

Readability: Matt’s book goes through some rather complex issues of how the ejaculation process works, and all of the various biological and neurological processes that affect your endurance in bed.  But he weaves it all together so that it makes sense.  This all follows the premise that you need to know your enemy before you can defeat him.  By truly understanding what causes premature ejaculation, you’ll be better prepared to cure yourself.  So, overall, he does a very good job with explaining a complex subject in a way that everybody can understand.

2) Effectiveness: A

In addition to providing a really in-depth explanation of what premature ejaculation is, and how the whole biological process works, Matt also provides a ton of tips and advice.  He covers dozens of tricks and moves and techniques that you can use to last longer in bed. My favorite thing about his advice is how he provides a lot of options, including a recommended training program for best long-term (permanent) results, as well as a bunch of short-term (emergency) tactics.

I recommend you focus on the long-term training program, which is very effective.  But the short-term emergency tactics are also helpful if you’re literally going on a hot date tonight and need some fast help.

3) Value: A-

Yeah, the price of Matt’s book might be more than what you would normally pay for a book in the bookstore.  But the nice thing about an ebook is that it’s much more private.  Nobody is going to see it laying around on your bookshelf if you don’t want them to.  You can keep it in a secret folder in your computer, if that’s what you want to do.  So, it’s really a very convenient product, in terms of the formatting.

Bottom line: Whether you’re just looking for the extra edge to go from 5 minutes to 15 minutes, or if you’ve been suffering from premature ejaculation for years, Matt’s book is a terrific resource.

How to Have Long Sex: Tips for Increasing Your Endurance

Premature ejaculation is the number 1 sexual dysfunction affecting men.  Twenty-five to forty percent of all men have this condition, also known as “PE,” which can wreck a man’s self-confidence and cause significant damage to a relationship if not treated properly.

But as common and widespread as premature ejaculation is, the vast majority of men are able to recover as a result of natural training techniques.

The trick is to first understand what’s causing your lack of control and lack of endurance.  Once you identify those triggers, you’ll be well on your way to lasting longer.

Here are some of the common causes of PE:

Masturbating too fast: This bad habit essentially trains your mind and body to ejaculate prematurely.  If this sounds familiar, you need to change your ways.

Stress and performance anxiety: Do you have a lot of stress?  Pay attention to what’s causing stress in your life and take measures to reduce it.  When reducing your stress, choose healthy, natural techniques such as deep breathing, meditation, exercise and yoga.

Erectile dysfunction (ED): If you suffer from ED, you’re at greater risk for developing PE.  This happens frequently because men rush out of fear that they’ll lose the erection.

Most men develop PE as a result of poor masturbation habits, performance anxiety, and general stress. Chances are these triggers are at the root of your problem as well.

The best course of action then is to fix your masturbation habits and to decrease your stress.

Decrease Your Stress: Practice taking deep breaths for several minutes a day (with the eventual goal of 20 minutes per day).  Practice breathing in for 4 to 5 seconds, and then out for 5 to 6 seconds.

Tip: Remember to focus on your breathing during sex, too.  This will calm you down and help you last longer.

Retrain Your Mind and Body: As I mentioned earlier, poor masturbation habits can cause you to finish too quickly.  Well, the good news is that developing good masturbation habits is one of the most effective ways to train yourself to last longer in bed.

Premature Ejaculation Cures: 6 Tips for Lasting Longer in Bed

If you’re looking for premature ejaculation cures, you’ve come to the right place.  This article provides you with 6 proven techniques for lasting longer in bed.

Cure #1: Stop Rushing! Most men get into the habit of masturbating with the intent of finishing fast.  Usually this bad habit develops in adolescence, and it is a leading cause of premature ejaculation.  Why?  This habit essentially trains your mind and body to “get it over with” as soon as possible.  So put a stop to this.

Cure #2.  Practice Taking Your Time. Stopping bad masturbation habits is one side of the equation. The other side is to actually use masturbation to improve your endurance.  Instead of getting it over with quickly, reserve 10, 20, or 30 minutes for yourself.  Pay attention to your body, and work on increasing your threshold for stimulation (without ejaculation).

Cure #3: Sprays and Creams. There “desensitization” creams and sprays available, which help many men last longer. These products can be effective, but they come with a price – you won’t feel as much pleasure.  So it depends whether that trade off is worth it to you.  In my opinion this isn’t the best route, but you have to decide for yourself.

Cure #4:  Reduce Your Stress and Anxiety. This is sort of a longer term method.  In other words, by reducing your stress, you may not double or triple your endurance overnight, but it’s the best route to a permanent solution?  That’s because a significant percentage of instances of premature ejaculation occur due to stress and anxiety (particularly “performance anxiety”) about sex.  Eliminate your stress and anxiety and you’ll strike at the heart of the problem.  Two of the best ways to reduce stress include deep breathing, meditation, yoga, and regular exercise.

Cure #5: Practice Deep Breathing. This advice was included in the previous cure, but it’s worth repeating.  Practicing proper breathing techniques will not only lower your general stress levels, they’ll also help you last longer while having sex. In particular, you’ll experience improved stamina if you breathe out when thrusting in.  Breathe in for 4-5 seconds and out for 5-6 seconds.  This tip worked very well for me, give it a shot.

Cure #6: Premature Ejaculation Exercises. Kegel exercises strengthen your pelvic muscles and can provide you with improved control.  Do 5-10 repetitions several times per day, and you’ll begin to feel like a new man.  The nice thing about these exercises is that you can really do them anywhere, and nobody will notice that you’re working on your stamina.

How to Last Long in Bed: 3 Tips for Increasing Your Endurance

The inability to last long in bed is a problem that twenty to forty percent of men struggle with repeatedly throughout their lives.  When the man is unable to last long enough to satisfy his partner at least 50% of the time, he has a condition known as premature ejaculation (PE).  PE can have a real strain on a romantic relationship, and it can cause significant stress and damage to a man’s self-confidence.  The good news is that this condition is treatable through natural methods in the vast majority of men.

Meanwhile, even men who do not technically have “premature ejaculation” want to know how to last long in bed. According to Men’s Health magazine, this is the #1 question they receive from their readers. (And keep in mind, Men’s Health is the world’s largest men’s magazine, with 38 editions around the world, and 12 million monthly readers).  Clearly, this question is on the minds of many men.

So, without delay, here are 3 tips that should help you last long in bed tonight:

1. End your “quick” masturbation habits.

Many men have the tendency to masturbate with the goal of finishing quickly.  Usually this habit develops in adolescence out of a fear of being discovered.  While this habit is as understandable as it is common, it’s also a leading cause of premature ejaculation.  So, next time you have the urge to get it over with quickly, stop and realize that what you’re actually doing is training your mind and body to finish fast, rather than last long.

2. Apply more lubrication.

This is a secret that a lot of men aren’t aware of: If you use extra lubrication while having sex, there is less friction.  The result of this is that you won’t be quite as sensitive, and you should be able to last longer.

(Note: There are other products available such as sprays and creams and specialty condoms that will totally desensitize you.  However, this isn’t recommended.  After all, what’s the point of sex if you can’t enjoy it?)

3. Reduce your stress.

For many men, the root cause of premature ejaculation is stress and anxiety – particularly, “performance anxiety.” Focusing on your breathing is the most surefire (and safest) way to reduce stress.   Regular exercise and proper nutrition will also help to reduce your stress and increase your energy levels.

Side note: A lot of men will recommend “distracting” yourself in bed, so that you can last longer.  For example, some men do multiplication tables, and others think of baseball statistics.  However, most experts recommend that you increase your focus on “the moment,” rather than distracting yourself.  This “distraction” technique is similar to desensitizing your body.  It’s much better (and healthier) to be fully engaged in the moment, and will most likely prove to be more effective in the long-term than simply taking your mind away from intercourse.

Premature Ejaculation Exercises (That Really Work)

Are you looking to cure premature ejaculation?

Lack of control can take quite a toll on your self-confidence and on your relationship.  But take solace in the fact that you’re not alone, in the least.  Roughly twenty to forty percent of all men deal with premature ejaculation, and some surveys place it even higher.

The good news is that in nearly all cases it’s curable with natural techniques.

But you didn’t come here for statistics – you want some PE exercises that work.

So without further delay…

The number 1 exercise for curing premature ejaculation is known as the “Kegel” exercise. There were named after Dr. Arnold Kegel, and are designed to strengthen the pelvic floor muscles (also known as “PC muscles”).

Step 1.  Isolate the Right Muscle

Many men will try to do Kegel exercises and will actually be squeezing the wrong muscles.  So here’s how you can tell that you’re actually activating the right muscles.

Use the muscle that you’d use to stop urinating.  Next time you have to pee, stop the flow of urine using this muscle, and do it a few times so that you isolate the correct muscle.

If you’re still not sure, you can insert a finger in your anus, and if you feel pressure around your finger while you’re squeezing, then you’ve got the right muscle. (You might want to do this in the shower, or it could get a little messy…)

The great thing about Kegel exercises is that you can do them at any time, any place.  They’re totally inconspicuous.

Step 2. Do the Kegel Exercise

How hard should you squeeze the muscle?

Squeeze your PC muscles for three to five seconds, and then relax for five seconds.  Work yourself up so that you can do “sets” of repetitions, just as if you were doing a workout in a gym.

Step 3.  Practice Makes Perfect

How often should you do these exercises?

Start with reps of 5, and then work your way up to reps of 10.  Steadily build up your baseline.  Do at least 3 or 4 sets (of at least 5 reps) per day.

If you keep practicing, you’ll see noticeable improvement in your ability to last longer.

Important tip:  In addition to doing Kegels at work or in the car, you should also do these exercises while masturbating and while having sex with your partner.

Step 4.  Incorporate Other Techniques

Most experts agree that a combination of techniques and remedies will provide the best results.  So, after you’ve mastered the Kegel exercises, I recommend you begin layering in more exercises and techniques.

There are a number of other techniques that can help you last longer, including the “Squeeze” technique and the “Stop-and-Start” method.  And changing positions can also improve your endurance.  (Many men find it easier to last longer while the woman is on top, rather than in the “missionary” position).  In addition, breathing techniques can serve the dual purpose of reducing stress, relieving performance anxiety, and helping control arousal so that you increase your stamina in bed.

How to Avoid Premature Ejaculation (It’s Easier Than You Think)

Are you frustrated with your ability to last long enough to please your partner consistently?

Well, you’re not alone.  Studies and surveys estimate that anywhere from a quarter to half of all men suffer from premature ejaculation (PE).  And nearly ever man experiences PE at least once in his life.

If you’re experienced this lack of orgasm control, you know it can be disappointing, frustrating, embarrassing and humiliating.  In fact, it can cause so much distress that it’s been known to break up relationships.

For these reasons, it’s important to find a proven way to avoid premature ejaculation.  That’s why you’re reading this article, right?

Well, without further delay, here are some tips on how you can avoid this problem in the future:

Actually, it’s very simple:  Reduce your stress and anxiety.

You may be thinking, “Hey, I was expecting some fancy, top secret techniques! This stuff sounds boring.  What does this have to do with the bedroom?”

Good question – let me explain.

While your sources of stress may often originate outside the bedroom (work is a common source of stress), you’ll unwittingly bring these stresses with you into the bedroom if you don’t take action to cleanse yourself of their harmful influences.

Good ways to reduce stress are through deep breathing, regular exercise, meditation, and yoga.   I recommend starting with simple deep breathing techniques.  Inhale for 5 seconds, and exhale for 5 seconds – do this for at least 5 minutes per day (ideally 20 minutes, but something is better than nothing).

But even if you have rid yourself of general stress, you may still be left with a residue of performance anxiety, especially if you’ve had trouble with your endurance in the past, and are nervous that you’ll disappoint.  Here, too, you want to use relaxation techniques.  Breathe in for 5 seconds, and breathe out for 5 seconds.  And here’s an extra tip: always exhale when you’re thrusting in – it’ll keep you calm and make you less likely to ejaculate.

The reason that breathing techniques work so well is that they help to engage what’s known as your “parasympathetic nervous system.”  Without going into too much of the biological details, the parasympathetic nervous system is essentially the opposite of the “fight or flight” response.  It just so happens that by keeping yourself in this “meditative” state, your body is less likely to ejaculate without warning.

Bottom line: If you want to avoid premature ejaculation, focus on your breathing and increase your tranquility.  You’ll be lasting longer in no time!

Curing Premature Ejaculation Naturally and Permanently

There are many products on the market that claim to cure premature ejaculation.  For example, there are sprays, creams, pills, and specialty condoms, among other products.  While many men are able to increase their stamina with these types of products, many more men are interested in learning methods for curing premature ejaculation naturally and permanently.

In other words, instead of a “quick fix,” these men want to know how to get rid of the problem once and for all.  In fact, if you are reading this article, you may be among these men.

This article provides an overview of how to achieve that type of long-term fix.

Step 1. Perform a Self Assessment

If you want to cure premature ejaculation, you first need to look within yourself, to determine what is causing your problem.

There are many causes of premature ejaculation.  But most men fail to control their orgasms as a result of stress and anxiety.

A second leading cause of premature ejaculation is bad masturbation habits – specifically, the tendency to finish quickly.

Step 2. Set a Goal

Once you identify what is likely the cause of your lack of control, then it’s time to set a goal for yourself.

If you currently last 3 minutes in bed, perhaps you’ll set a goal to last 7 minutes in bed.

Don’t get too hung up on the timing. Always, the most important thing is to have a fulfilling sex life, not to be focused on the clock.  But, on the other hand, the only way you’ll reach your goal is if you have a goal in the first place!

Step 3.  Visualize Yourself Achieving Your Goal

You’ll have greater success achieving your goal of curing premature ejaculation if you remain positive, and can actually envision yourself lasting longer in bed.

Picture what it would look like, sound like, and feel like to have the increased stamina you desire.

Step 4. Take Consistent, Determined Action Towards Your Goal

This is an area where “practices makes perfect.”  Get to know your body and your threshold for stimulation. And then increase your threshold through proper masturbation techniques. While poor masturbation habits often contribute to premature ejaculation problems, proper practice is one of the most effective ways to get increase your stamina in bed.

As you condition yourself through training, also practice focusing on your breathing.  This is the safest and most effective way to help your body relax.  By reducing stress and anxiety, you will increase your ability to last longer in bed.

With consistent practice along these lines, you will be well on your way to curing premature ejaculation naturally – and permanently.

How to Delay Ejaculation: 4 Tricks to Last Longer in Bed

Nearly every man is interested in learning tricks to delay his ejaculation so he can have sex longer and better satisfy his partner.

With that goal in mind, here are some tricks for lasting longer in bed:

Trick #1. “Practice Makes Perfect” – and Get to Know Your Body

While poor masturbation habits are often among the root causes of premature ejaculation, you can actually train yourself to last longer in bed through proper masturbation techniques.

Trick #2. “Emergency Tactics” – Condoms, Extra Lube, Creams, Sprays

There are a bunch of premature ejaculation products on the market – including desensitization creams and sprays, which can help you last longer in bed.  Many men find them to be effective, and they do “work” for the simple reason that they numb your genitals and will take away some of the pleasure of sex.

Condoms also can help to take away some of the sensation of sex, and help you last longer in the process. And there are even specialty condoms specifically designed to stop premature ejaculation.

So, if you’re looking for tricks to last longer, these types of products should be included in the list.  And they do work for many men.

Desensitization is also a clear downside to these types of products… I mean, what’s the point in lasting longer if it doesn’t even feel good?

The one “sneaky tip” I haven’t mentioned yet is the secret of using extra lubrication. This is a secret that most men aren’t aware of.  It’s a great trick for lasting longer because it isn’t obvious that you’re doing anything different or special. But it works because the extra lubrication takes away some of the friction of intercourse.

Give it a try!

Trick #3.  Meditation and Breathing Exercises

Practicing deep breathing is not only good for your mind and your body, but it’s a little-known trick that’ll help you last longer in bed.

And here’s an added secret: It helps to breathe OUT while you’re thrusting IN.  Give it a shot, and let me know how it goes.

Trick #4.   Switch Up The Positions (Let Her Be in Control).

Most men find that it’s easier to last long when you’re in some positions, and harder in others.

Here’s a quick tip:
the “Missionary” position is usually going to make it harder for you to last longer, because you have to do a lot of thrusting.  You’ll probably enjoy increased endurance if you let her control the motions (e.g. if she’s on top and you’re on the bottom).

How to Have Sex Longer! 3 Secrets to Improve Your Stamina in Bed

Premature ejaculation affects 25-40% of men, and an estimated 30% to 70% of males are unable to have sex long enough to satisfy their partners.

(Curious how you stack up? Learn how long the average man lasts in bed).

While being unable to last long enough can cause significant distress and strain on a relationship, the good news is that the condition is entirely treatable.

There are several different ways you can increase your endurance, but here are the Top 3 ways to improve your stamina in bed.

1. Identify Causes of Stress In Your Life, and Eliminate Them

For most men, stress and anxiety are the main reason why lack orgasm control.

Stress may prevent you from being able to relax. And the more you are able to relax (and engage what is known as the “parasympathetic nervous system”) the longer you’ll last in bed.

2. Focus on Your Breathing, and Practice Proper Breathing Techniques

Stress and anxiety are often considered among the root causes of premature ejaculation, and proper breathing is one of the most reliable means for removing stress and anxiety.

Practice breathing in for 4 to 5 seconds, and then out for 5 to 6 seconds.

Take time to do this for at least a few minutes, several times a day.  If you can find the time, 20 minutes a day will provide meaningful results within two weeks.

And be sure to focus on your breathing when you’re having sex, because this will surely help you last longer because it helps you stay calm and focused.

3. Kill Your Bad Masturbation Habits – and Retrain Yourself

Too many men have trained themselves to finish quickly because of a history of speedy masturbation.

Instead of rushing to get the job done, take the time to actually get to know your body.  Begin to recognize when you start to reach different stages of arousal, and when you feel like you’re about to ejaculate, then stop and let the feeling pass, before starting again.

By practicing properly with masturbation, you can train yourself to have sex longer with your partner.

There are other ways you can have sex longer – including sprays, creams, and pills – but most men are able to increase their stamina without having to resort to these types of products.

You’re more likely to find permanent improvement if you stick to a 100% natural solution, which addresses both the physical and mental reasons for premature ejaculation.
