Strong Perineal Muscles Help You Last Longer In Bed
If you’re looking to gain an edge in the bedroom and last long enough to give your partner an orgasm (or two), then you need to understand how your perineal muscles affect your orgasms.
First, lets locate these muscles.
Where are the perineal muscles?
The Perineum is the region between your legs that starts just above your penis and goes down to your tailbone.
These muscles protect and hold your genitals in place as well as control critical functions such as bowel movements, urination, and ejaculation.
We’ll stear clear of those first two and focus solely on how these muscles can be used to control your ejaculatory reflex.
How do they help you last longer in bed?
There are two opposing techniques you can use to delay ejaculation using the perineal muscles: one requires you to relax the muscles and the other requires you to contract the muscles just before you orgastm.
1. The relaxation technique
This is by far the easiest and most effective way to last longer in bed. As long as you keep your muscles relaxed you can not ejaculate.
Seems simple enough right? Well it actually is with enough practice. Focus on your breathing and don’t let yourself get too aroused. In other words, control your thoughts so that you are almost in a meditative state.
That way you can maintain focus to keep your perineal muscles relaxed as well.
2. The hold it in technique
This is an advanced technique and requires some training. Yes, it actually requires you to train your muscles so they are strong enough for this technique and it really should only be used as a last resort.
Here’s how it works.
Once you think you are about 2-5 seonds from ejaculating, you flex your perineal muscles and hold until the urge passes. Typically, this takes about 15 seconds of flexing and if you make it, then you’ll go back to normal arousal levels.
It will take some time to figure out when you need to start flexing becuase if you start too soon or too late you won’t be able to hold it back. Starting too soon will force the semen out and starting too late will only delay the inevitable.
Both of these techniques work great, but if you’re struggling with premature ejaculation you should really start with the first one. Once you master the relaxation technique, then move on to strengthening your perineal muscles so you can use the “hold it in” technique.
